When our eight year old daughter decided she "needed" a tropical aquarium, we said "sure, you save up the money and you can buy one". Thinking that day would never come, the day it did was a surprise. So we set off to the local pet shop, got the set-up she wanted and chose all the pretty fish (of course), not knowing the first thing about what fish can live in communal environments, and what fish can't.
It was not until several months later that we were having some issues with agressive fish, that we decided to check our the new Aquarium shop in Lilydale, Fantastic Fins. We met Josh as we walked in, and after a fair bit of conversation, he put us on the right track to having a happy, healthy Aquarium.
We should also add, we have gone from having one 22ltr tank housing my daughters Guppies, Tetra's and Angels, to a 3Ft set-up with Oscars, African's, Clown Loach, among others....all thanks to Josh!
We cannot recommend these guys highly enough. In the time we have been shopping at their store, they have always been extremely helpful, to the point where both my kids ask every weekend to visit the boys and their fish.
So, if you are a novice, or an experienced fish keeper, Josh, Luke & Karl are the guys to see.
